Esotericism (from ancient Greek ἐσωτερικός - "internal"), esotericism - a set of knowledge, information that is inaccessible to the uninitiated, ignorant of mystical teachings, people, special ways of perceiving reality that have a secret content and expression in "psycho-spiritual practices" [2]. It is opposed to exotericism (exotericism).

The knowledge gained in the course of esoteric experience is extremely subjective, therefore there is no single esoteric teaching. Often defined as pseudoscience.
