Horror literature is a genre of literature that aims to create a feeling of fear in the reader.

Often, but not always, horror literature is about the supernatural in the truest sense of the word; there is a limited set of themed characters, borrowed, as a rule, from the grassroots mythology of different peoples: vampires, zombies, werewolves, ghosts, demons, etc.
